Daily Scripture Readings
Growing spiritually requires spending time in the Bible. We recommend the Revised Common Lectionary as a great guide for daily study. The Revised Common Lectionary is a three-year cycle of weekly readings built around the seasons of the Church Year, and includes four readings for each Sunday, as well as additional readings for major feast days. During most of the year, the readings include: a reading from the Hebrew Bible, a Psalm, a reading from the Epistles, and a Gospel reading. During the season of Easter, the Hebrew Bible passage is usually replaced with one from the Acts of the Apostles.
Note: Certain days include passages from the apocrypha for Catholic readers. On those days an additional passage from the Old Testament is included for Protestant Christians.
