Central's reopening plan is based on the State of Ohio Risk Level Assessment. Clark County is currently at Level Three, and may soon enter Level 4 on on this assessment. Maps of the county show that Central is located in one of two areas with the highest numbers of new cases. We are very eager to resume indoor worship services and will do so when Clark County returns to Level 2.
As your Board of Elders, we have had many discussions, and sought input from local health officials regarding the resumption of indoor worship services. With input from the Clark County Combined Health District, we have decided that, as long as COVID-19 levels do not dramatically increase, we will proceed with caution in reopening indoor services starting November 1 at 10:30am. If there is a significant increase in COVID-19 cases we will go back to pre-recorded online services while we wait for this virus to pass.
The following principles guide our plans related to COVID-19:
We have a responsibility to our congregation and to our community to do as much as possible to limit the spread of this virus.
We understand the need for Christian fellowship during a time when it would be easy for people to feel isolated.
We understand that corporate worship is an important aspect of Central’s ministry.
We will schedule “socially-distanced” fellowship opportunities that allow people opportunities to gather as long as they are free of COVID-19 symptoms or recent exposure to the virus.
What Sundays are Like at Central
Central is vibrant nondenominational church focused on making our community more like heaven. We strive to keep Jesus at the center, looking to scripture for direction, and asking God's Spirit to lead and empower us. We care about justice, We love our neighbors, and we proclaim the gospel. Sundays are a little different with Covid-19, until we are able to gather inside the worship center our services will be online. Please visit Central Reopening for details.
